Lately I’ve been really appreciating medium hold hair spray. I’ve always loved hair sprays but Saturday I had an extra amount of love for them.

As a colorist, the condition of my guest’s hair is my first priority. Finding the right products for the condition of your guest’s hair is important.

Balancing shampoo and conditioner is a must have staple for almost everyone’s shower. These smell delish, promote shine, add both strength and moisture and can be used every day. The hair is left feeling clean and soft.

Austin is one of our unsung heroes at the Gene Juarez Salon at University Village.  She is always busy running from the front desk to the office to ensure our day runs smoothly.  Being a supervisor can be demanding that way.   I'm always impressed that even though she has this extremely long, blonde, beautiful hair, I never see her wear it up in a ponytail or clip.  She usually wears it smooth, polished, with a little bit of curl. So imagine my surprise today when I came in and saw this beautiful beachy effect.

sometimes the weight of the hair is too heavy and falls flat after styling.  i use the firm hold hair spray to control gravity and keep the hair standing.  i love it on my girlfriend's short cut to show off the piecy-ness and texture too.

here are a few fun and different ways to do a ponytail base updos.

i started by shampooing with volumizing shampoo and conditioner.

How can someone want a change but not want to change anything about their look?  It sounds silly, but it happens all the time!  We all get bored with our look and want something new, without changing color or sacrificing any length with their haircut. I have been chatting to my fellow stylists here at the Northgate Gene Juarez Salon and we brainstormed a few ways to “work our magic” and create 'change', even with strict boundaries.
